Due to growth in students in my department, we’ve got a new opening for a lecturer (broadly equivalent to assistant prof in other countries) in Engineering Mathematics at the University of Bristol. See the job advert for details; it’s a four year, fixed-term contract with salary in the range £38,017 to £42,792. While there are no guarantees that the position will be made permanent, for the right candidate it might be possible.
The department divides into roughly three areas: general mathematical modelling (ODEs, PDEs, SDEs, and other approaches), artificial intelligence/data science, and robotics. The position isn’t focused on any one area. We’re a very colligiate bunch and look forward to working with people who are similarly collaborative.
